Email from Manon:
There are no special rules in DCRM(B) about privilege statements. They are only mentioned briefly in 7A1.2 as an example of a source in an item and in 7B8 within an actual example. I take that to mean we can transcribe them as part of other areas if they appear on the chief source. Here are some examples slated for DCRM(C):
: Performed by John Speede and are to be sold in Popes Head Alley against the Exchange by I.S. & G.H. cum privilegio
: Chez l'auteur joignant les grands Augustins aux deux Globes avec privilege
: Printed and given out at Amsteldam by Nicolas Visscher upon the Dam in the signe of the Fisher, with priviledge of [the] States Generalls and are to be sould at London by Iohn Overton at the White Horse without Newgate
But I have often seem records in which the privilege statement is instead given as a quoted note:
: Performed by John Speede and are to be sold in Popes Head Alley against the Exchange by I.S. & G.H.
Note: "Cum privilegio"
Is there some distinction I should be aware of? Would that maybe indicate that the privilege statement appears separated from other information on the chief source and doesn't seem to be part of any one area?

Follow-up e-mail from Manon documented that adding "statements of privilege" to the list of things to be silently omitted in 1A2.2. was already approved by BSC (Annual 2010).
